October 2010 he attended the 33rd Annual Review Course in Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology in Long Beach, CA, and Harvard Medical School Advanced Sonography Symposium in OB/GYN in Boston, MA and in November 2010 he attended the 36th Annual Symposium at Washington University in St. Louis, MO

Dr Martin Schwartz, originally from New Jersey, attended medical school in Pennsylvania where he met his wife, Darlene. He graduated in the top 15% of his class from Thomas Jefferson University Medical School in Philadelphia. He did his postgraduate training at Thomas Jefferson University. After completing his residency he spent two years in the US Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. He practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and has also been involved in training younger physicians, nurse practioners and mid-wives. He received certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1974. Dr. Schwartz is Board Certified and has been presented the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Cognitive Award for Continuing Medical Education. His professional interests include high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, ultrasound, obstetric anesthesia and office gynecology. He and Darlene have one daughter, Alixe. Stanley, the newest four-legged addition to the family gets complete undivided attention from Doc Livingstone; his yellow lab (see image below). His hobbies include gardening, cooking, bird watching and travel!

The staff at Bay Point have been with Dr. Schwartz since the day he arrived at Lake of the Ozarks in 2001. Kathy Kurt, Practice Manager, has been in the field since 1994. Our billing specialist, Kim Rhodes, began her career in 1995 and keeps up-to-date with coding and billing requirements by attending yearly seminars. Jamie Lipps, Medical Technician, has been in the medical field since 1995. She loves her patients and they love her! Cheri Mooney, Stacey O'Neal and Connie Dampier are pleasant, knowlegeable and very accessible - no machines or prompts - you actually speak to a live person ! We also want to add that Dr. Schwartz is a really good cook (when he has time, of course)!

We have a state-of-the-art electronic medical records system that allows us to store your medical records electronically. Because these records are available for review at any time and from any location within our office, the time spent tracking down patient charts is eliminated. Staff has immediate access to your appointments, medications, documentation from every visit, labs results, etc. With a click of a button your prescription is at the pharmacy, even before you leave the office!
